Introduction by Melanie Linham
I have recently taken over from Alison Baker as membership secretary of the Association. Please bear with me at this time as I am getting to grips with the processes involved and trying to cope with the renewals from April this year.

I am therefore writing to both introduce myself to you and to ask for your support and cooperation in checking / amending our records.

I am Deputy Cytology Manager (BMS 3) working in a busy cytology department at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton and have been a member of the NAC Executive for the last two years.

Renewals
I must firstly apologise that in the hand over of roles, the renewal forms were omitted from the recent issue of scan and I know that this has caused those of you who prefer to pay by cheque a few problems. I have therefore added an up to date renewal form to the website for your use. Those of you who pay by standing order mandate should have already received your renewal card for this current year. I have had a few problems with incorrect fees being paid and should be sorting these out soon.

Trainee Staff £10.00

New Members
As an associationwe always welcome new members and would like to ask existing members to encourage new members of staff and trainees to join. They can download the application form from this website.

Updating Records
I am anxious to ensure accurate and appropriate communications reaches you in a timely manner. To this end I will be checking and amending any details we might hold on you.

I would be particularly grateful if you could provide me with a current email address, as this would be a significant means of providing you with up to the minute information from the Executive. It is our intention to utilise this form of communication to the full in the future together with our website nac.org.co.uk (Please be assured that any email details will not be disclosed to a third party without your prior agreement.)

I have also realized that the most out of date information on the database relates to job title and grade. I know that I was still on there as a MLSO 1, which I haven't been for 8 years. Please therefore could you email me with your full name, grade/status, home and full work address to me at nac.membershipsec@btinternet.com
or send them to the address below so that I can ensure these are correctly recorded on our database.
